Sometimes a gift means much more than it seems at first glance, especially when it gives children new opportunities for learning and development. For rural schools, new books, computers, and school supplies are significant support that simplifies and improves the daily educational process, while boosting students' motivation.
As part of the initiative by NMG (Nikora Management Group), rural public schools in various regions of Georgia received educational resources as gifts. School libraries were replenished with new books, learning spaces were equipped with computers, and students were personally presented with school supplies.
According to Nino Modebadze, Principal of Irakli Bazadze Public School in the village of Makhatauri, Sachkhere Municipality, their school has a small student body and, essentially formed by merging two small schools, unites about 40 students in total.
“Everyone, the children, the parents, and the entire school community is immensely happy. Our library has been equipped with new books, and the children have already started using them. In the computer room, two new computers were installed for us, which we are already actively using. For a small school like ours, this is a very big gift and a huge motivation,” notes Nino Modebadze.
“They brought us computers and books. Both children and parents were very pleased with this surprise. Our library had quite old books. Now, many new books, carefully selected according to age groups, have been added to our collection. They brought us so much joy with these gifts. All of this will help every single child in the learning process,” says Nino Datunashvili, Principal of the public school in the village of Ujarma, Sagarejo Municipality.
The emotion of receiving the gifts was especially special for the students of the public school in the village of Kvesheti, Dusheti Municipality. Currently, 65 students study at the school. The received books and equipment turned out to be an important acquisition for them.
“The children were so excited that before the gifts even reached their destination, they opened the bags right on the way and emotionally asked whether all of this was really for them. The received books and equipment turned out to be an ideally selected and immensely important gift for us. The age categories of the students were also taken into account. All of this will be very useful for our educational process,” notes Marika Narimanidze, Acting Principal of the public school in the village of Kvesheti, Dusheti Municipality.
“The visit of NMG to the public school in the village of Tabagrebi, Chiatura Municipality, was filled with special emotions for the children and the school community. Access to quality educational resources is a challenge for our school, and we try to make it equally accessible to every child. 'Nikora Management Group' showed great support in achieving this goal; they donated personal computers and books for the school library to our school, and individual stationery sets to the students. As a result, our learning environment will significantly improve,” explains Eter Guruli, Principal of the public school in the village of Tabagrebi, Chiatura Municipality.
NMG launched the school support project in 2022, and since then, it has been helping several schools throughout the year. To date, more than 40 schools and over 10,000 students have received gifts from the company.
