The educational initiative launched under the partnership between NMG and College Spectri has reached its practical implementation phase. The project, designed to support high-demand technical professions through hands-on training in real-world environments, is now focused on on-site industrial internship.

Under this initiative, students are mastering critical technical skills within the facilities of NMG’s subsidiaries, with a specific focus on electrical engineering and the maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration systems.

"The practical training takes place at the production facilities of Nikora LLC and Chveni Fermeri LLC, where students learn to assemble and monitor control panels for complex production machinery. They are gaining expertise in both mechanical and electronic components, which is essential to becoming multi-skilled professionals. While all tasks are currently performed under the supervision of senior experts, the students' progress has been substantial," says Aleksandre Esebuia, Technical Coordinator of the project.

The program offers dual motivation for participants: students acquire unique professional experience while also benefiting from company perks and a monthly stipend.

"When studying electrical engineering, it is crucial to understand how automation systems operate in a large-scale manufacturing environment. NMG provides us with access to state-of-the-art equipment, which is an invaluable experience for an entry-level specialist. Beyond professional development, receiving a company-sponsored stipend gives me the confidence that our efforts are truly valued," notes Ilia Ugrekhelidze, a student at College Spectri.

Zura Khamashuridze, another participant in the program, shares this perspective: "I can confidently say that I have gained extensive knowledge regarding industrial refrigeration and cooling systems. Our supervisors explain every detail—from how valves function to how systems are calibrated. I am proud to be part of this project, as I am learning a real, tangible craft here."

The interim results of this CSR project demonstrate that this type of collaboration between the business and education sectors is highly effective in addressing the shortage of skilled technical labor.
